Fintrackr is a local-first finance tracker. Your financial data lives in an encrypted database on your device. We cannot see it. If you choose to create an account and enable cloud sync (a Pro feature), an encrypted backup of your data is stored on our servers so you can restore it on your devices — and that's the only time your financial data leaves your phone. We don't sell data, we don't show ads, and we don't connect to your bank.
Everything you enter in Fintrackr — assets, liabilities, transactions, budgets, goals, salaries, subscriptions and preferences — is stored in an encrypted SQLite database (SQLCipher) on your device. Bill photos you scan are processed on-device and are not uploaded. Your PIN and the database encryption key never leave your device.
Fintrackr works fully without an account. If you sign up (email/password or Google Sign-In), we store through our authentication provider (Supabase):
If you enable Cloud Sync, a snapshot of your app data (the same data described in section 1) is uploaded to our backend (Supabase) and associated with your account, so you can restore it on a new device. It is encrypted in transit (TLS) and protected by row-level security so only your account can access it. Turning Cloud Sync off stops future uploads. You can delete your cloud backup by deleting your account or contacting us.
Pro subscriptions and developer tips are processed by Google Play (or the App Store) and managed through RevenueCat. We never see or store your card or banking details. To operate the service — keep your Pro status in sync and understand overall usage — we receive and store billing events on our own backend (Supabase): an account identifier, the product purchased, the amount, the store, and the event type and time. This is used only to run and improve Fintrackr; it is never sold or shared with advertisers. See Google Play's and RevenueCat's privacy policies for their handling.
If you raise a support ticket in the app (Pro), we store the ticket text together with your account email so we can respond.
On-device data is yours: deleting the app (or using Settings → Clear All Data) removes it. For account and cloud data, request deletion any time from within the app (Priority Support) or by emailing us — we delete your account, cloud backup and tickets within 30 days.
Fintrackr is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
If this policy changes materially, we'll note it in the app and update the date above.
